I will be leading a small group on a photographic safari to remember. On the south western coast of Africa, where the icy Atlantic meets the world’s oldest desert, we find places that are renowned for their breath-taking landscapes. The combination of mist, desert, grassland and cold ocean currents form unique environments. “Touched by Africa” aims to introduce you to four different environments, each with its own special character.

We will begin our journey in the Namaqualand region of South Africa where we will join world-renowned Canadian photographer, Freeman Patterson and a small group of photographers for an Arts and Nature Wilderness Camping Experience.

With Freeman we will embark on two very special photo tours. The first will be to the Atlantic coast and the second will be to the Richtersveld mountain desert.

When we leave Freeman and our new friends we will travel alone to Namibia’s Namib Desert. We will finish our safari in the Okavango Delta, one of Africa’s premier wildlife areas.

- Close association with Freeman Patterson
- A guide that grew up in Southern Africa and knows the areas well
- Four distinct regions to photograph – combination of breath-taking landscape and African wildlife
- Four wheel drive vehicles, each photographer will have their own window
- The overland nature of this safari will give you plenty of time to stop and photograph
- There will be options to photograph the desert from a hot air balloon or from a fixed wing aircraft
- Combination of comfortable camping and luxury accommodation
- Limited to only 6 participants
